One of the most prolific folk blues duos of all time, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee were also two of the finest musicians in the history of the genre. Sonny Terry's down home harmonica playing has no equal, while Brownie McGhee's guitar and soaring vocals influenced an entire generation of young folkies from Bob Dylan to Dave Van Ronk. Featured here is a collection of some of their best recordings spanning the late 1940's to some vintage live recordings made in Los Angeles in the early 1960's. Woody Guthrie joins Sonny & Brownie on twelve of the tracks. All selections newly re-mastered.
