One of the great things that make this album great is that the production doesn't overwhelm the artists and vice versa. Rikko and D Black reached into their gangsta rap bag and produced a classic album with 15 songs. There is nothing better than hearing dope street MC's with a chip on their shoulder. Their best work gets done when their backs are to the wall. What Brownside accomplishes with 'Payback' is pure performance under pressure. Southside's best.
